Thomas Jefferson

 

A man from Virginia that believed in the judgment of the common folk, landowners. He wrote the Declaration of Independence, and believed famers were the center of the society. He also was the head of the democratic republican party before he became president in the election of 1800.  As president, he feared the power of the government that could take away the peoples rights.  He strictly interpreted the constitution.
